Returns & Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident in your purchase, so we are proud to offer complimentary returns on all orders.

Pre-Order Returns And Cancellations

Items purchased during a pre-order period are subject to the same 30-day return policy, with the return window commencing from the date your order is delivered — not the date it was placed.

Please note:

  • Pre-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched.
  • If you wish to cancel a pre-order prior to dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, cancellations are not guaranteed once your order has entered fulfilment processing.
  • All standard return conditions apply (original condition, tags attached, tried on over underwear).

Refunds for pre-orders are processed within 3–5 business days after the returned item has been received and approved.

30-Day Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for:

  • Change of mind

  • Exchanges (size or colour)

  • Store credit

  • Full refunds

Items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed

  • In original condition

  • With all original tags attached

  • Returned in original packaging where possible

Swimwear Hygiene Policy

For hygiene reasons, swim shorts must be tried on over underwear.

Returns may be refused if items show signs of wear, washing, damage, staining, odour, or removal of tags.

Free Returns

We offer free returns within Australia.

To initiate a return, please email returns@knotsstudios.com with:

  • Your order number

  • The item(s) you wish to return

  • Your preferred outcome (exchange, store credit, or refund)

We will provide return instructions.

Exchanges

Exchanges are available subject to stock availability.

If your requested size or colour is unavailable, we will offer a store credit or refund.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 3–5 business days.

Please allow additional time for your bank to finalise the transaction.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item is deemed faulty.

Final Sale Items

Items marked as Final Sale are not eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number.

We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
